NASCAR Adds Mexican Driver to Cup Series

NASCAR announced that Daniel Suarez will be racing in the Cup Series in 2021. The Mexican-born driver will join Trackhouse Racing, which has been formed by Justin Marks, a former NASCAR driver who also co-owned the K&N Pro Series West team. The team will operate under a technical alliance with Richard Childress Racing, and will be powered by ECR engines. The team will also operate out of the Richard Childress Race Shop in Welcome, North Carolina.

Suarez is fifth NASCAR driver from outside the USA to win at NASCAR’s highest level.

Daniel Suarez, a Mexican native, was born in Monterrey. While karting was a hobby for his family, he quickly fell in love and became a racing enthusiast. He became addicted to the sport and began full-time training. Soon, he was a two-time Mexican national karting champion.
